COMPOSITE DECK BUILDERS IN TORONTO & THE GTA
Design-led, low-maintenance composite decking planned around your home, your style, and the way you want to enjoy the outdoors.
LOW-MAINTENANCE. HIGH-IMPACT.
Composite decking gives you the warmth and character of wood with far less ongoing upkeep. But the boards are only one part of a deck that looks right and performs well. Layout, framing, drainage, fasteners, stairs, railings, lighting, and the connection to your landscape all shape the result.
Diamond Decks & Pools designs and builds the complete deck as one coordinated outdoor living space. We help you compare materials, plan comfortable zones for dining and relaxing, and choose details that complement your home instead of competing with it.

COMPOSITE VS. WOOD DECKING
Wood and composite can both create a beautiful deck. The better choice depends on how you balance upfront cost, ongoing maintenance, appearance, and long-term use. This side-by-side guide gives you a more useful place to start.
Warranty length and coverage vary by product and manufacturer terms. We review current documentation with you before material selection.

TREXPRO PLATINUM CONTRACTOR
Diamond Decks & Pools is a TrexPro Platinum contractor, the top tier in the Trex contractor program. That recognition reflects product knowledge, training, and an established record of Trex projects.
We do not start with a one-size-fits-all board. We start with your goals, sun exposure, colour direction, budget, and maintenance expectations. Then we help you compare the right collection and finishing system for the project.
Product availability and warranty terms vary by collection. Full manufacturer terms apply.
REAL DIAMOND PROJECTS
These are real outdoor spaces completed by Diamond Decks & Pools. Each one responds to a different home, grade, view, and way of living.
A clean composite surface and transparent guard system preserve the open view.
Built-in details, lighting, and railing create a comfortable room without walls.
Glass guards and integrated lighting make the deck feel open, polished, and usable after sunset.
CUSTOM DECK DESIGN
Before we draw the deck, we look at how people will move through it. Where does the grill belong? How much room does a dining table need? Where will afternoon sun land? Which view should stay open? Good answers create a deck that feels generous and intuitive instead of simply filling space.
PLANNING YOUR INVESTMENT
Composite decking costs more up front than pressure-treated wood, but a reliable estimate depends on far more than a square-foot number. A simple ground-level platform and a raised multi-level deck with stairs, glass railings, lighting, and engineering are very different projects.
Overall square footage, levels, board direction, borders, stairs, and landings.
Footings, framing, elevation, site access, demolition, engineering, and permit requirements.
Board line, colour, profile, warranty, fastening system, fascia, and trim details.
Railings, privacy screens, lighting, pergolas, built-ins, outdoor kitchens, and landscaping.
Our estimate separates the core build from optional upgrades so you can see where the investment goes and make confident decisions without surprise add-ons.

Composite boards are engineered products with specific requirements for framing, spacing, ventilation, fastening, and drainage. Careful installation protects the appearance of the deck, the performance of the structure, and applicable manufacturer coverage.

COMPOSITE DECKING FAQS
Good material decisions come from honest answers. These are the questions GTA homeowners ask us most often while planning a composite deck.
Ask Us About Your DeckThe final cost depends on deck size, height, framing, access, decking collection, stairs, railings, lighting, and other features. Composite material is typically a higher upfront investment than pressure-treated wood. We provide a detailed estimate that separates the core deck from optional upgrades so you can compare choices clearly.
For homeowners who want less recurring maintenance and a consistent appearance, composite can offer strong long-term value. It does not need scheduled staining or sealing and is designed to resist common moisture and weather damage. Natural wood may be the better fit when the lowest upfront cost or authentic wood grain is the priority.
All deck surfaces warm up in direct sun, and darker colours generally absorb more heat than lighter colours. Board composition and collection also matter. We consider sun exposure, colour, shade, and how the deck will be used when helping you choose a product.
Modern composite boards use textured surfaces designed for traction, but any outdoor surface can become slippery when wet, icy, dirty, or covered with organic debris. Product selection, drainage, cleaning, and careful stair design all contribute to safer everyday use.
Service life depends on the product, installation, substructure, exposure, and care. Current Trex collections include limited residential warranty options of 25, 35, or 50 years depending on the line. Warranty terms are not the same as a guaranteed lifespan, so we review the applicable documentation during selection.
Sometimes, but only after the existing structure and drainage conditions are assessed. A sound deck frame may be reusable if it meets current structural and layout requirements. Installation over concrete usually needs a properly designed sleeper or framing system that provides clearance, ventilation, and drainage.
Permit requirements depend on the municipality, deck size, height, attachment to the house, property conditions, and intended use. Some detached low decks may be exempt, while attached, elevated, or larger decks commonly require drawings and approval. We review the project conditions and help identify the required municipal steps before construction.
Routine cleaning is generally straightforward. Remove debris and wash the surface with soap, water, and a soft-bristle brush or other methods approved by the manufacturer. Spills are easiest to address promptly. We provide care guidance for the specific decking collection installed on your project.
